Tip 2: Check the map at the bottom for exact locations to find these incredible scenic views of Prague.
1. My favorite: view on Charles Bridge and Prague Castle

Right in the heart of the city, along Smetanovo nábřeží, you can admire the Vltava River, with Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, and Petřín Hill in the distance. Leaning against the railing, you can watch the river drift by as you soak in the beauty of the scene.
For me, this spot is more than just picturesque - it's the unofficial Most Beautiful Spot in Prague.
Minutes here feel like moments of pure magic.

Personal Tip:
"If you like classical music, come to the Most Beautiful Spot of Prague and listen to Smetana's Vltava below.
It is one of the best live performances I have ever heard."

As you stroll from that spot and follow the river southward, you'll come across the enchanting Legion Bridge. From its corner, you'll be treated to yet another breathtaking view - one that never fails to captivate me. Each glance reveals something new, making it a scene I could admire endlessly.
2. View from Letna park

It looks like you’ve taken a photo from above the middle of the Vltava River when viewing from Letná Park. The Charles Bridge, the Legions Bridge (Most Legii), and the Jirásek Bridge (Jiráskův Most) are just a few of the bridges you can see from here. There are several viewpoints in this elongated park, but make sure to visit the Hanavský Pavilion.
3. View from the Southern Gardens of Prague Castle

In the southern gardens of Prague Castle, you'll find an observation platform (Plečnikova Vyhlídka) offering one of the most beautiful views of the city centre. The gardens are free to access (when open). Sit back on a bench and let your eyes wander over the many sights visible from this spot.
4. Views from Petřín Park

Petřín, the stunning city park, offers multiple viewpoints. The park itself is worth a visit, but once you reach the top, you’re rewarded with kilometers of Prague stretching out before you. If you want an even broader view, purchase a ticket for the Petřín Lookout Tower, which provides a 360-degree panorama. Here are two viewpoints I’d like to highlight for you:
a. View from Promenáda Raoula Wallenberga, located in front of the Strahov Monastery.
b. Observation Terrace (Vyhlídka) located in the middle of Petřín Hill, with a view of the Dancing House.
As the sun sets, it casts a warm glow over the hill and the city, giving the buildings along the Vltava River an extra beautiful contrast, as seen in the photo below.
5. View from Old Town City Hall

The view from the Old Town City Hall tower offers a captivating perspective of Prague's historic heart. As you ascend, you’re greeted by a sweeping panorama that showcases the stunning architecture of the Old Town Square, highlighted by the impressive spires of the Church of Our Lady Before Týn. From this vantage point, you can admire the bustling life below, with its cobblestone streets and lively cafés. The breathtaking sight of the Vltava River and the distant hills adds to the magic, making it a must-see for anyone visiting the city.
6. View from Riegrovy Sady

Behind Prague Central Station lies Riegrovy Sady, a charming recreational park. On sunny days, you’ll see people sunbathing, playing frisbee, or having picnics here. You can enjoy a beer in the Beer Garden. If you love a lively atmosphere and beautiful sunsets, visit the park on a clear evening. Alongside the locals, you’ll witness the city of a hundred spires transform into a city of gold.
7. View from the National Monument on Vítkov Hill

Vítkov Hill offers one of the highest and most scenic vantage points in Prague, making it a must-visit for stunning city views. Once you reach the imposing National Monument at the top, you're rewarded with panoramic vistas stretching across the city from three different sides. From here, you can gaze out over the iconic red rooftops, lush green parks, and even spot the distant spires of Prague’s historical landmarks. It’s the perfect spot to take in the beauty of the city, away from the usual tourist crowds, and capture some truly unforgettable photos.
8. View from the Botanical Gardens

For nature lovers, a trip to the Botanical Gardens is a must. There are several ways to get there. If you enjoy walking, start at Letná Park. Along the way, you’ll pass three gems: Letná Park, Stromovka Park, and Troja Castle.
Once you arrive at the Botanical Gardens, you’ll find the paths laid out before you, and you can enjoy a stunning view from there.
9. View from Vyšehrad
Vyšehrad, the hidden gem of Prague, is a must-visit for those seeking history, culture, nature, and tranquility. As you stroll along the Bastion, you can enjoy a panoramic view and experience Prague in a whole new way. This lesser-known fortress has so much to offer, from its fascinating history to the beautiful surrounding nature. A visit to Vyšehrad promises to be an unforgettable experience, away from the hustle and bustle of the more famous tourist attractions.

10. View from the Tower of St. Vitus Cathedral
Within the Prague Castle complex, you will find the tower of St. Vitus Cathedral.
The view from the tower of St. Vitus Cathedral is nothing short of breathtaking. Ascending the tower rewards you with a stunning panorama of Prague, showcasing the city’s iconic skyline adorned with its historic spires and rooftops. From this lofty vantage point, you can see the majestic Vltava River winding through the city and the lush greenery of the surrounding parks. The intricate details of the cathedral’s architecture stand out against the backdrop of the vibrant city, making this viewpoint a truly unforgettable experience for visitors.

Bonus: View from Shooters Island
In the center of the Legion Bridge, you'll find stairs and an elevator that take you down to the charming island below. This hidden gem is a peaceful recreation park, perfect for a relaxing stroll. With picturesque summer terraces and lovely views along the way, the highlight is at the island's northern tip, where you'll discover one of Prague's few "beaches."
Shooters Island is an ideal spot to enjoy the serene beauty of the Vltava River and take in unique views of the city.
